Johannes Von Ditten
1848 - 1924, Kristiania
Johannes Von Ditten was born in Kristiania (now Oslo).
He started his career as a trained translator, but in his youth he also delved into journalism and worked for a short time for Kristiania's newspaper "Dagen".
After leaving journalism, he began an artistic journey and gained considerable recognition for his depictions of the natural landscapes of western and northern Norway.

Jonny Andvik
Jonny Andvik (1966 - ) has established himself as one of Norway's leading figurative artists. Born in Porsgrunn, Telemark, Andvik studied at the School of Graphic Design, Lille Ulefoss from 1984-86 and at the Exeter College of Art & Design (England) four years later.
